In the Past

Dear diary,

I love him

I loved him.

Crumpled pages tarnished

with tears show imperfections

in what was once faultless,

no longer

stuck by such scribbles

only futile memories

of a

spark that spun

into a blaze,

where I threw the diary

watched the embers of the old us

die out        one
